Personal Care Services

Respite care is temporary relief to those who are caring for a person with disabilities in their home.  Providing care is rewarding but also can be overwhelming without some support, such as respite.  Respite provides the needed break from the daily challenges.

  • Provide care and supervision that the parent, guardian or Host Home would normally provide.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the person.

  • Maintain the usual routine of the person. Such as following medication support plans.

  • Honor all aspects of the person’s human rights and adhere to all policies of confidentiality.

  • Provide timely, complete, legible, and accurate documentation of respite care and comply with all reporting requirements.

  • Represent Phoenix Services in a positive and professional manner to persons, families, co-workers and the public.

  • Notify Human Resources of any changes in address, phone number, and emergency information.

  • Provide own transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
